Who is responsible
DEGENEWS (degenews.fun) is published from Belgium. For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@degenews.fun.
What we collect
- No accounts, no forms, no comments. We do not ask for your name, email or wallet.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data (IP address, browser, requested page) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs are short-lived and never used to profile you.
- Audience measurement, only with your consent. See below.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to count visits and see which stories are read. It runs in Google Consent Mode v2:
- Until you accept, no analytics cookie is set. Google only receives cookieless signals with no identifier, which cannot recognize you from one visit to the next.
- If you accept, Google Analytics sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies, kept for up to 13 months. IP addresses are not stored by GA4. - Purpose: audience measurement. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules).
- Your choice is remembered in your browser (
localStorage) for 6 months, then we ask again.
There is no advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking on DEGENEWS.
Change my cookie choice. Refusing deletes the Google Analytics cookies already set.
Transfers outside the EU
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing and withdraw consent at any time, by email at privacy@degenews.fun. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
